Privacy Statement

The short version: this site has no visitor accounts, uses no advertising trackers, and sets no analytics cookies. We collect as little as practical to operate the site, understand aggregate traffic, and respond to messages.

1. Website delivery

Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts and delivers this site through CloudFront and S3. Those systems necessarily receive technical request data such as an IP address, user agent, requested page, and timestamp to serve and secure each request. We have not enabled CloudFront standard access logging or S3 server access logging for this site, so Sandcherry Press does not retain visitor-level website access logs from those services.

2. Analytics, cookies, and tracking

We use Umami, an analytics service that we host ourselves on AWS, to understand aggregate visits and page use. The tracker records page addresses and titles, referrers, browser language and screen size, browser and operating-system information, device type, and approximate location. Umami anonymizes the collected data, sets no cookies, stores no persistent visitor identifier in the browser, and does not track visitors across websites.

We have not enabled user identification, custom events, performance monitoring, or session replay. Analytics records remain in our database until we delete them.

3. Retailer and affiliate links

Links to third-party retailers and listening platforms, including Amazon, Audible, and Spotify, take you to their sites, where their privacy policies apply. Some Amazon links are affiliate links; Amazon may associate a purchase with our affiliate account, but we do not receive the purchaser's identity or contact information from that program.

4. Email

If you email an address at sandcherrypress.com, AWS processes the message and forwards it to a mailbox provided by Google. We receive the sender address, subject, message contents, attachments, and normal email-routing information. Raw copies in our inbound AWS storage are automatically deleted within 90 days. Mailbox copies may be retained as needed to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

5. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. AWS processes data to host the site, analytics, and inbound email; Google provides the destination mailbox. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the security of our services.

6. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Changes

If our practices change, this statement will change with them, along with its effective date.
